Baby Loss Awareness Week, now in it’s 20th year…
This tragedy affects 1 in 4 pregnancies in the UK. Stigma and silence often means families feel isolated in their grief.

As part of our ongoing partnership with Tommy's to honour every little life lost, we stand together with hundreds of thousands of people around the world to light a candle or share an image of a candle at 7pm on Saturday 15th October.

Whether you’ve experienced loss this year, last year or decades ago, there’s no set timeline for grief and you may never feel ‘ready’ to participate in Baby Loss Awareness Week. As our midwife, Amina, says: “Grief will come in waves and stages but it will be with you for your whole life.”

The theme of Baby Loss Awareness Week this year is Stepping Stones, looking at this unexpected path through life that comes after loss.

Wherever you are on this path, please remember that we're here for you and support is available. Alongside our website (tommys.org) and Facebook support groups, our amazing team of Tommy’s midwives are here to provide emotional support and advice Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
