Our Dance Course Choreographic Evening was a fantastic success!
Each year group performed classical repertoire from Coppélia and The Sleeping Beauty and our S5 and S6 performed a contemporary piece in collaboration with contemporary teacher, Tash Boyle.
The individual group choreographies performed were a fantastic expression of themselves. The young people collaborate in individual groups where they choose their music, create choreography and make costume suggestions. They then go on to rehearse the pieces themselves with support from the dance faculty.
The entire evening is presented and performed to the young peoples’ families, friends and alumni!
Well Done to all the young people involved and we hope that everyone who watched had a great time 💙

Today was our last day in the studios and with the remaining young people (S1 & S2 in photos) we had a Christmas PJ class.
“As we come to the end of the year, it is always a joy when the young people have an opportunity to have a fun dress up day to celebrate their hard work, tinsel and jammies were the requested theme this year. We had a great session and enjoyed our musicians bringing the Christmas cheer with beautiful music” - Mrs. Peasgood, S1 and S2 teacher.

🎭 DSS PANTO 🎭
This week the S3’s and S4’s on our Preparatory Musical Theatre Course performed their Christmas panto in our studio theatre, in front of the entire Dance School of Scotland, some alumni and faculty!
It was smashing ✨💙
Musical Theatre Course Artistic Director said:
"Congratulations to our S3 and S4 PTC young people performing ‘Alice in Anniesland’ for the whole school this week. They worked really hard on the project, writing their own script and even designing costumes and props! The show was very funny and highly entertaining and the staff are proud of their achievements."
