Today we were grateful to welcome Archbishop Nolan, Archbishop Cushley and Bishop Toal to our 4th Year Catholic Teacher Formation class.

CNA explains: What does it mean to be a doctor of the Church? The title “doctor of the Church” recognizes those canonized men and women who possessed profound knowledge, were superb teachers, and contributed to the Church’s theology.

Our foreign trips have come to and end this summer. We've been to Rome, Kenya, Salamanca and Malawi. Thanks to everyone who participated in these experiences, especially the students who worked so hard to make it all possible. I hope you all enjoyed it. It was a privilege to accompany you all.

We visited the village local to Namulenga Girls school where we have been working to better understand local life in Malawi. We also wore traditional a chitenge to celebrate Namulenga Parish’s Patron Saint, St Anne. We said goodbye to the wonderful children of the school as we depart Blantyre and head onto Liwonde❤️

Over the last two days we have visited the Catholic University of Malawi as well as Phalombe Teacher Training Centre, engaging in some insightful discussion and comparisons in education systems in Scotland and Malawi. We have met some very inspiring educators here 🙏🏼

Today we assisted in the Mary’s Meals project collaboration with Classrooms for Malawi and helped to hand out porridge to the children of Namulenga Girls Primary School❤️. We also helped to paint one of the blocks for the new classrooms on campus.

After three days of travelling our group has finally arrived in Malawi.

The final full day of the Summer School Real Colegio de Escoceses, Salamanca. The students were introduced to Spanish art through the crucifixion.
We the visited Salamanca Cathedral where the students completed their project work by describing the various crucifixes found there.
The group then enjoyed one last evening in the beautiful Plaza Mayor.
