It was a real privilege to share my business journey in my chapter - from how and why I started Language for Fun Glasgow and Estrellas Brillantes almost 9 years ago, to the challenges I've faced along the way, and how I've tried to turn those stumbling blocks into stepping stones - to learn, grow, adapt, and thrive, so that all my learners...from babies and toddlers, all the way up to retirees ... can learn Spanish and grow in confidence in a fun, welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment.

My dad, Howard Peebles, the amazing yellow-jacketed 'walking man' of Waterfoot, is fundraising for the Kilbride Hospice to mark reaching his goal of walking around the world 🌎 (the 24,901 miles equivalent of the earth's circumference!)

He's 81 years old, and he's been walking 6 miles a day (3 miles in the morning and 3 miles in the afternoon) for 12 years! Pouring rain, sleet, hail and snow doesn't stop dad - he's out walking is ALL weathers! You might have seen him walking in Waterfoot, or heading up floors road towards Eaglesham.

To mark the completion of his 'long walk' and the awesome achievement of walking almost 25,000 miles, we're having coffee at cake at Cartsbridge Church in Busby, at 2.30pm on Saturday 18th January (where all our Spanish classes are held)

It would be great to have some of my Language for Fun Spanish learners along to join us and to celebrate with dad.
