Come check out our upcomng event! "Using Brexit votes to predict a second referendum"

This event will look at how social scientists use survey data to predict election results. The discussion will focus on the reasons why many polls incorrectly predicted the 2016 US Presidential Election and Brexit. After the discussion, attendees will have a chance to attempt to predict the results of a second referendum using recent British Election Study survey data.

The UK has been to the polls three times in the past three years, and all produced shock results. In 2015 the Tories won an unexpected majority in the general election, despite polls forecasting a hung Parliament.
