Jack and Jill pre 5's Nursery Group

The children have took alot of interest in water play using the funnels, jugs and measuring resources to fill and empty and developing their transportation skills the children are developing an awareness of measurements during this experience.

I have experimented with every day items as units of measure to investigate and compare sizes and amounts in my environment.

Within our nursery we like to explore our wider community and visit the local library to take part in book bug, we were also focusing on healthy eating within the nursery and we went a walk to our local shop to collect some healthy foods. This also allowed the children to explore the range of healthy foods and make choices.

I can prepare and taste a range of familiar and unfamiliar foods.

I know that there is a range of foods to eat.

I can demonstrate simple food preparation.

I can demonstrate an awareness of safety.

We have been learning about the life cycle of our baby chick's. We have watched them from the incubator to hatching. We have looked at what they eat, helped to clean them out, named them and held them.
