ＳＡＴＵＲＤＡＹ
𝟭𝟮.𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 & 𝟭:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺: Performers from Star Power Performing Arts will take to the stage to entertain with some of your favourite show tunes. From classic musicals such as the Sound of Music to modern hits from Wicked. This performance features students from our Uddingston (Wednesday evening) and Ferniegair (Monday evening) academies.

𝟮:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺: Drever Guitar School will be performing some classic & well-known tunes from years gone by, including some Blues, Rock, Pop & Country influences. The set will include some group performances & maybe even a wee solo appearance or two.

From 1pm onwards there will be a showcase of talent from the following dance studios:

CMDance Academy is celebrating its 14th anniversary this year. We teach children from 3 years+ and specialise in creating a fun, nurturing environment, allowing all of our pupils to flourish in their own way. Our teachers have extensive experience teaching dance, are fully qualified, insured and have been performers themselves. We are non-competitive but we create performance opportunities for our pupils like our Annual Show at Rutherglen Townhall & outdoor events such as Bothwell Scarecrow Festival and Uddingston Pride Christmas Fair. As members of the B.A.T.D. we can offer exams for our pupils if they wish to take part. Gillybean Theatre School is a musical theatre school for young people aged from 18 months to 18 years who enjoy performing. Classes are held at Motherwell South Parish Church…

Our Tots Class is aimed at pre-school kids from 18 months to 5 year old. Classes run on a Thursday from 1pm-1:40pm at United Reform Church Hall, South Park Street, Hamilton. All abilities are welcome.

Prime Dance was established in 2018 by Cally Mckeirnan and has been thriving ever since. We have grown into the most amazing dance family with dancers from various schools in our local community. Elen Brandao Dance school was founded 16 years ago by Brazilian dance teacher, choreographer and artistic director Elen Brandão van Weegen. Teaching Excellence in Ballet & Jazz Dancing. Based in Bothwell, Elen Brandão Dance School offers Ballet and Jazz classes for children from 3 years old onwards. At our school we follow the BATD syllabus for ballet and jazz classes. Maureen Laughlin School of Dance: Boys and Girls are enrolled and trained to a professional standard in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and Street Dance. We hold ISTD exams twice a year which are not compulsory but are held for all who attain the required standard to be entered. Although our classes are run to a professional standard our aim is always to have fun and a great time at dancing! All pupils will have the opportunity to perform in our end of year display and also take part in the many dance events we are involved in every year. Many of our pupils have achieved places with Scottish Ballet Junior and Mid-Associate Scheme, Knightswood Dance School of Scotland, Motherwell and Reid Kerr College for performing Arts. Our classes run 6 days a week which means there is a day and time to suit everyone. We also run Adult classes in Ballet, Jazz and Tap. I hope you all have been enjoying your summer. Just a reminder our summer term will run from 12th August-7th October. Classes are off on Saturday 19th August (Flower show) and 16th September (Scarecrow Festival) as both events are held at Bothwell Parish Church Centre.

Just to let you know there is an event in Bothwell this weekend (27th May) and we won’t be able to park at the BPCC car park. An alternative parking at Bothwell Bridge hotel has been arranged by the church members.
