Ashton School you have stolen our hearts ♥️

As we celebrate the end of a school year and some remarkable progress across the school’s partnership, we are privileged to have worked with such an inspiring group of young people, their families and school team who we have gotten to know each week.

We are looking forward to next term already and can’t wait to see where the new skills and confidence can take these bright young people next.

Supporting young people with complex additional support needs has been an important step in our journey to develop our own skills & knowledge in culinary education.

We’re back! …

Slightly different view, same great training crew.

To everyone that helped us with temporary venues over this last 3 months, thank you 🙏 the coffee is forever on us 🤎

North Ayrshire’s school dinners are levelling up!

Great to be back for our 3rd Cookery accelerator. Upskilling an already dedicated and passionate team to elevate while they create, focus on quality while making tighter budgets go further and a chance to get together across the region to grown their own connections & confidence. Another great project!

Always great catching up with our friends, and Hospitality Ambassadors at Marr Hall Golf & Spa Resort with Hotel School Scotland pupils this week.

Chef Szilard looked after the students with some of his delicious madeleins and sweet treats, and Concierge Alan gave us the warmest welcome as always.

It was also a pleasure to see one of our Renfrewshire employability trainees from last year, busy working and loving her new career at the hotel!

It safe to say our trainees we even more inspired and motivated to learn the art of hospitality after this fabulous visit and see the success stories in real life!

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our Carrick Skills Hub alumni Tanja Lowe

Tanja joined us just a year ago and quickly became a much-loved trainee, bringing warmth, enthusiasm and joy to everyone around her. Discovering her passion for hospitality later in life, she embraced every opportunity from training at Turnberry Resort and going on to work at Craig Tara, where she began to flourish.

Her family would be grateful if any of her friends and colleagues from her time at Hub would like to attend her celebration of life. Details will be shared in the comments.

Rest in peace to another strong South Ayrshire legendary lady, gone far too soon. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time 🤍💛
