Good afternoon to all ND friends

10 years after our first gathering in August 2015 to celebrate the installation of “our” ND Harry Clarke window, it was wonderful to meet up with ND friends again last year. Some enjoyed lunch during the organ recital, then we met at our Harry Clarke window where we sang and chatted before many of us, in true ND fashion, retreated to the café for more chat over coffee and cake.

On Saturday 15th August 2026, a gathering of folks connected to ND Dowanhill: Primary and High Schools, Training College and, of course ND Convent, will once again take place in Kelvingrove.

Meet up in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery to enjoy chat and refreshments and to admire our Harry Clarke window – all are welcome to join us and the early-birds could take in lunch in the café whilst enjoying the 1pm organ recital beforehand.

Immediately after the organ recital, at about 1.35pm we’ll congregate at the Harry Clarke window on the first floor – to the left of the organ consul – where Anne Morgan will play (she’s pretty good at responding to requests, so feel free!) and we will sing the Salve Regina.

As always there will be plenty of opportunity for further socialising over tea and coffee in the café. Do pass info to others you are in touch with and come along if you are free!

A fabulous reunion at the Royal Concert Hall Cafe with our fabulous music teachers who have definitely swallowed the. ‘ELIXIR OF YOUTH AND LIFE’ and the weather complied for the Stragglers.We even had an international visitor Helen (nee Barrie) now lives in Munich, Watch this space.

Following our attempt to get everyone together last November, we’re trying again and hoping that there will be no storms in April. Those who made it in November enjoyed a really lovely afternoon, but the stars of the show were missing, so here’s your chance to be part of the party!

Calling all singers in NDHS choirs and Kelvin Junior Singers along with anyone, NDHS staff perhaps, who remembers our fabulous music teachers Mrs Alison Hunter and Mrs Violet Baillie (late1960s to 1980s).

Delighted to say that both Mrs H and Mrs B are travelling to GRCH from Crieff and Dumfries for a ‘spontaneous drop in reminiscence session.’

Join us at the far end of the GRCH Cafe Bar for lunch, snack, coffee, cakes, photos, and lots of chat.

Alison and Violet will be chuffed to bits to see you, even if you can only pop in for a few minutes to say hello.

Hi there! My mum attended Notre dame, I believe she started in 1969 and left in 1973 or 1974. Her name was Maureen Magennis. Do you have any old photos at the school etc? My mum passed away in 2017 and it would be a great comfort to me and my dad if there was any old photos about etc. thank you

Amelia McKibben , Notre Dame High School's Head girl and co pupils organised such and energizing Careers Fair for S1 - S6 . It was so exhilarating to meet all of you current alumni '. You can teach us 'more mature alumni 'a few tricks. Proud to me an 'old ND gal '
