Backwoods Survival School

Heading up North for a couple of days using my sheeping bag!!
Ingredients - Brain tanned sheepskins, fox and roe hide, bark tanned red deer skin with whale bone buttons …… all hand sewn, it will be on show at the Shropshire RV and swap meet July 25 - 26 pop by for a chat at the Backwoods stand.

Setting up between windy gusts, torrential rain and some sunny patches…… hopefully settled dry and bright weather for tomorrows show.

Sorting out primitive fishing kit for the Shropshire RV & Swap Meet on July 25-26 there will be an extensive display on show at the Backwoods stand covering trapping, angling, spearing and netting ….. hopefully see you there for a chat!!

My old trusty steed moved on to a new life after 17 years so I’m moving forward with new wheels …. Ladder and roof rack now installed ….. chunky wheels next I think……….

The Auricularia auricula in its dry state looks rather insignificant but when it’s been soaked by a heavy downpour it rehydrates into a lovely jelly ear!!!!
