Emily Bruce - Tutoring

Hi everyone!

Despite the lack of posts and engagement I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth, but I do really need to update you on what's been happening.

As you're aware I set up this wee business back in 2020 after completing my masters in the middle of the pandemic and finding myself very much in need of something to do. Since then tutoring has been my lifeline and I'm very thankful to have had the opportunity to work with a whole bunch of great kids over these last 2 years. However, around about March I started feeling like I wanted more for myself. So to probably no ones surprise I've decided to pursue teaching!

This course is guaranteed to be one of the most chaotic/stressful/amazing years of my life but it also demands 100% of my focus and commitment. Unfortunately this means that for the foreseeable future I will not be taking on any new students for tutoring.

I hope you can all understand why I've made this decision, but this isn't the end of Emily Bruce - Tutoring more just a holiday (but not a relaxing one).

My last bit of advice
- Read the questions carefully. 🔍
- See if you can eliminate any obviously wrong answers in multiple choice. ❌
- Write down the variables you're given. 🖊
- Always double check your working after. 👀
- Don't get hung up on a question. Move on and come back later with a fresh mind. 🧠

Hi everyone.

Just a quick update to again say that I still won't be able to take on anyone else and have built up quite a number on a waiting list.

I can't tell you how much I wish I could do more but between running this, a hospitality job and completing various applications I know I'd burn out taking on anymore.

The support is very much appreciated... but maybe don't tag me on any posts at the moment 😅

✨ 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀: The Impulse Equation

This equation tends to throw people off so here's a breakdown of what's going on. 🔍

It can be confusing because 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐞 itself doesn't have a symbol in the equation.
Maybe try think of it like this:
𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐞 = 𝐅𝐭 = 𝐦𝐯 – 𝐦𝐮
and so we find, 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘦 = 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘮
