Sunday gratitude
This week I am grateful for:
✨the delicious apples on my tree. I stewed a couple of them with cinnamon and had the apple with my Greek yoghurt this morning😋
✨A day out in Glasgow. While it may not be looking its best currently, it still has much to offer. We started with a walking tour with Glasgow Music City Tours - along Glasgow’s music mile. Did you know that Glasgow was the first UK city to be designated as a UNESCO music city? We learned about the city’s music heritage, including the Empire Theatre where the likes of Danny Kaye and Judy Garland performed, the Pavilion Theatre, the Apollo ( I have many memories of seeing gigs there), the sadly burned down ABC which could hold 1000 people 7 days week. No wonder Sauchiehall Street has suffered following its demise. Finishing at a busy King Tuts.
In the evening we went to Citizens Theatre to see the brilliant 1984 at the refurbished theatre. An excellent production.Scarily it’s still very relevant today.
✨Getting ready for the change of seasonas we move into September
