Thank you to everyone who joined us for our butterfly release on Monday! 🦋

It was such a special moment to share together, watching the butterflies take flight after their incredible journey. The children were so excited, and it was lovely to see our families there to be part of the experience.

We’re so excited to share that our butterflies are ready for their final step 🦋

After watching their incredible journey from tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, we will be releasing them on Monday 13th April @10.30am at the park along from nursery if your child isn't in nursery Monday but would like join us then please come along.

The children have loved being part of this special experience, and it will be a wonderful moment for them to see the butterflies return to nature.

We are delighted to share that some of the chrysalises have now hatched, and we have butterflies🦋 The children were very excited to see the butterflies emerge and watch their wings slowly open and dry. This has been a wonderful opportunity for the children to observe the final stage of the butterfly life cycle and talk about the changes they have seen throughout the process. We will continue to observe and care for the butterflies before preparing to release them, giving the children a meaningful hands-on learning experience about nature and growth.😁

Today marks a beautiful milestone on our butterfly journey — we’ve officially reached Stage 2: Forming Cocoons (Chrysalis) 🐛✨
What an incredible transformation to witness. After days of growing, feeding, and preparing, our caterpillars have now found their perfect spots and begun the magical process of becoming something entirely new.

Day 1 - We will be hatching butterflies from caterpillars and watching the amazing life cycle unfold!🐛🦋
The children will observe how tiny caterpillars grow, form a chrysalis, and eventually transform into beautiful butterflies. Each day we will share updates with the children so they can see the changes happening step by step.
This exciting experience helps the children learn about nature, life cycles, and caring for living things. It also supports early science skills, encourages curiosity, builds observation skills, and introduces new vocabulary as the children talk about what they see 😊

Flying Start Nursery Barmulloch are looking to extend our team by recruiting a full time Modern Apprentice aged 16 -19 years old😀

Yesterday we celebrated pancake Tuesday!!
We loved mixing up the pancake mix and getting all our toppings ready for us to eat😍
We even got to help cook the pancakes promoting our independence skills 😁 they were really fun to make however we definitely had more fun eating them!😁💚

Yesterday we had so much fun celebrating Chinese New Year 🐎 we learned that it is the year of the horse!
We decorated and made some Chinese lanterns, and we tried some Chinese food! We loved it 😁

This week we have been having so much fun celebrating Valentine's week 💕
