Darnley Primary Parent Council are looking for your help. In order for the school discos to go ahead on Thursday 30 April we need volunteers to help on the on the night. If you can spare a little time to help please email us [email protected].

Parental volunteers is the only way events like these can go ahead as we don't have enough PC members to cover all risk areas.

Our first Parent Council meeting of 2026 is tomorrow, Wednesday 15th January, if you have any feedback you would like us to pick up with the school please send us a message on [email protected]

You will find us in the p1 classrooms at the school fayre from 3pm today! Homemade Biryani, Pakora, Krispy Kreme Donuts and so much more!

with the following films, voted for by all of the kids in school:

P 1 - P3 The Grinch 5pm - 6:55pm

P4 - P7 Home Alone 7pm - 9pm

PJ’s, Comfies, Pillows more than welcome!

£3 cash on the door, entry fee includes popcorn and sweets and if kids bring their own water bottle we can refill with water/diluting juice if required!

As always school will send out permission slips via parent portal and drop off will be main door, pick up side door entry facing the muga.

Notice of our AGM and next Parent Council meeting is Wednesday 12th November, if you have any feedback you would like us to pick up with the school please send us a message.

📣 Reminder 📣

Tomorrow, Thursday 25th of September, is a 'come as you please' day. Pupils are invited to come to school dressed in own clothes.

Children should not wear football strips/ clothes. The school welcome small donations for our school fund - a link will be available on Parent Pay. We appreciate all your support.

📣‼️As most most of you will be aware there have been a number of issues recently with the school facilities and lack of appropriate repairs. There are also long standing concerns about overcrowding in the school and lack of resources etc. The PC have today’s written officially to a number of individuals outlining our concerns and requesting immediate investment to bring the School back up to a reasonable standard for our Children. It is an open letter and as the Parents we have been sharing in all year WhatsApp groups and through our social media channels so you are fully aware of the action we feel has been necessary. ‼️📣

While we are forward planning we thought we would take a minute and look at just a few highlights that the parent council delivered last year, this and discos and supporting the school fayre - which we wouldn’t have been able to deliver without our amazing team and parent volunteers - thanks everyone for all your hard work and dedication last year and going into the new school year!
