Expect to see common symptoms and management in palliative care, as well as some history taking practice!

Introducing our new GU Palliative Care Society Committee for 2025/26! 🫶

We’re here to encourage more conversations around palliative care, hold events to increase awareness and education, and provide information on potential careers.

We can’t wait to meet you all! ☀️

Applications are open for our 2025/26 committee! We would be delighted to see you at our online AGM on Thursday 12th June at 7pm.

The application form can be found in the linktree in our bio, which will include the Zoom link and password. If you can't make it, don't worry at all - you are still very welcome to apply via the form and we will consider your application on the night.

New event coming up next week! Join the GP and Palliative Care societies for a brilliant online careers night on Thursday 24th April at 19:00. Three fantastic doctors have kindly agreed to share their insights into each career, as well as advice for portfolio-building, making it an invaluable evening for anyone interested in either speciality. We can’t wait to see you there!

🍰 Come along to the Wee-G at 6pm on Friday 31st January for cakes, a chance to meet lovely new people, and to support a great cause!

💚 This fun, relaxed social event will include free baked goods (with vegan options available) as well as a fun quiz.

At 6:30pm on Friday ,17th May 2024, we are hosting a death café.Location is in James McCune Smith learning hub room 408!!

A death café is a space to share thoughts and feelings about death and dying. We will form small groups and chat about anything that comes up. Although the topic can feel daunting it is an informal space full of tea, cake and often laughter. Anyone is welcome, whatever you study. ☕️

Please note that while we may come with our own grieving these are not grief support groups or counselling sessions but a place to share nevertheless💙💙
