🦩📚 We’re Celebrating World Book Day Here at Lingo Flamingo 📚🦩

Today marks 🥳 A celebration of all things reading, literature and imagination! World Book Day celebrates how the magic of books and reading can enhance our lives ✨

Reading is a great way to enhance language learning, as it allows you to develop reading comprehension, understand grammar and verbs, and learn much more vocabulary! Lingo is excited to share with you some top picks for you to read and suggest types of books for your level 📚

We also want to highlight our wonderful Wee Phrase Book, which was created in collaboration with Age Scotland in 2023! This is a collection of memories of language, laughter and more, from the perspective of some of our care home students 🥰 If you'd like a copy to read, please get in touch 💌

Plus, don't forget, we have a lot of these books (and many more options!) available for you to rent from our Lingo Language Library at our Shawlands hub! You can take out a book for 4 weeks, giving you plenty of time to understand and delve into the story 🤩

🦩🧑‍🎓 Congratulations Our Most Recent Gaelic Graduates 🧑‍🎓🦩

Last week, this lovely group at Means House successfully completed our Gaelic course 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

To celebrate, they held a graduation ceremony where their wonderful tutor Carolyn presented each student with a special Lingo certificate 🤩

They celebrated in style with graduation caps, gowns, cupcakes, fancy drinks and more! All the staff and students had a ball! One particular student Barbara (pictured in the middle), who is about to turn 105, even donned her best red lipstick to look stylish for the occasion 🥰
