They say it heals all wounds; that it awaits no man. A karmic measure - righteous judgement. The unrelenting passage and the heartbeat to which our story is bound. When she crashes through the door, let her. There is much that will dissipate as you become. When she comes sword in hand purging all that isn't yours and tearing you limb from limb - surrender. When she teaches with merciless clarity violently recentering you on your path, accept it. Let her decimate every last part of who you thought you were. It was a lie. Resistance is futile - the tower is already falling. Remaking you, not as the world shaped you, but as you were always supposed to be.

There are those that we hold consciously, willingly, and then there are the others. Pieces; parts of us that violently resist our aid - trauma that will only be retrieved in the same violence in which it was forged. An opportunity to see the unseen, the unwanted and to recall all that was lost in pursuit of our survival. This time, the invitation is to feel, even if like last time, it feels anything but safe.

Everything in time and in turn. Era-defining narratives, chapters characterised by brutality, by pain, severed as if they never existed at all. Behind us; a path littered with fractured monuments of who we once were and fields abundant with the promise of harvest, now lie burning. And as for the bridge from here to there, impassable - improbable. A moment of grief, of confusion as we come to our senses and await clarity. In time, the path ahead will reveal itself, what it is and where it leads remains to be seen, so, for now, reflection will have to do.

An expression of fairness and moderation. The measure and application of sound judgement and balanced rationale. Concepts; skills long misplaced by those of us wounded, those of us traumatised. In their place, narratives of war and of pain; a landscape where discernment has long perished. Implosions; explosions as we rail against ourselves and the things that made us this way. Perhaps; an acceptance that we are now unreasonable and unable to be reasoned with. A modus operandi only to be expected when we are hollowed of all that we are.

Rarely comfortable. Something forgotten, a roadblock of sorts. A part ready for retrieval; what it is, and from where, we no longer know. A memory that escapes us, a moment repressed. Something lost in the pursuit of our survival, too dangerous to hold, to remember. And now, we stand, stuck, at an impasse with our wounding. Our recollection; needed, but still unwanted, still protecting us, still missing, and still in need of healing.
