More hard work in the lab for our groups of level 2 students - measuring resting metabolic rate and activity energy costs using indirect calorimetry. They will use this data in their final lab report looking at energy balance over 2 days 😀

In level 2 the students learn how to take anthropometrical measurements and also how to measure each others metabolic rate and activity energy values. We have been very busy and having fun in the labs over Trimester B 😀

Our level 3 students were challenged today when trying do dietary recall and feeding with sensory impaired individuals. They quickly found alternative ways to communicate and adapt their practice 😀

We had a great session in the kitchen with Diet Chef Neil this week. The level 3's were experiencing what it is like to have dysphagia and eat texture modified foods and thickened fluids. So important to have this insight when working with patients. Big thanks to Neil - amazing as always!
