A lap around the northwest Caribbean complete, and Bluejay is now prepped for her transatlantic crossing back to Scotland. We explored Statia, St Bart’s, St Kitts & Nevis, and Montserrat – the latter a real standout for me. It’s an incredibly small community, with two-thirds of the island still uninhabitable after the Soufrière Hills eruption in the late ’90s.
Plenty of returning crew on this one, which gave the trip a great dynamic – always special sailing with people who really get what we’re about at .
Next up: Starlings refit, then on to Hummingbird’s and Bluejay’s once they’re both back in Scotland!
