Halloween at The Hunterian is back! ⚡🧟‍♂️

Step into the lab (if you dare) for a night of thrills, chills, and spooky delights. This year’s theme is Frankenstein & Monsters – think monstrous mocktails, creepy cocktails, carnival chaos, and a headphone disco to raise the dead.

Get ready to immerse yourselves in Scottish culture with a night of poetry, music, delicious food, and lively dancing at the UofG Welcome’s Big Burns Night Celebration at The Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery

What is Burns Night? 🤔

Burns Night is a Scottish holiday celebrating the life and poetry of Robert ‘Rabbie’ Burns, Scotland’s national bard. We’ll honour his legacy with a traditional Burns Supper, featuring the iconic “Address to a Haggis,” poetry readings, and a taste of authentic Scottish cuisine.

Your £5 ticket includes:

🍽️ Taster of haggis, neeps, and tatties served with whisky sauce (vegan/veggie, gluten free and halal options available).
🍬 Sample of Scottish drinks, food and snacks.
🎶Bagpipe performance and poetry reading.

Drag 101 is bringing it to the runway TONIGHT 💖

Our dragtastic duo Dharma Geddon and Alana Duvey are back to serve the tea (not literally, though it is in a café) at the University of Glasgow’s favourite drag show!

Whether you’re a first timer or a seasoned slayer, this show is open to all and not be missed 💋 Grab a drink, meet new pals, and enjoy the show!

The January Welcome Fair 🎪 is a day-long fair experience featuring stalls from some of our fantastic UofG clubs and societies! Thursday 16th January, 11am-4pm.

Taking place across several rooms in Glasgow University Union (GUU), you’ll get the chance to meet some of your fellow students, sign-up for new opportunities, enjoy delicious refreshments, and collect a few freebies too!
