Thrilled to be offered a position with Amma providing one-to-one support to women during pregnancy and birth, helping them prepare their individualised birth plan and ensuring their voices are heard in the decisions that impact their birth.
This builds on the work I've being doing over the last 8+ years helping women prepare for a calm and confident birth. Training with Amma will also bring so much to what I already offer in my pregnancy yoga and birth preparation classes!
Can't wait to get started!

February Blessings to you all!!
Phew, we've made it through January.
Today marks the midway point between the winter solstice (shortest day) and the spring equinox, and while the land is still largely outwardly sleeping, there are little signs of emergence from deep winter - snowdrops peaking through fallen leaves and some trees forming leaf buds, although it will still be many weeks before we see any green appear.
Are you starting to feel the stir of spring deep within?
Or do you need another cycle of rest before emerging?

New Year blessings to you all! I hope you've all enjoyed a restful time over the festive period.
I've loved the quiet simplicity this particular year has offered, and have made the mosts of walks in the glorious winter sunshine followed by cosy candlelit evenings!
I'm very much looking forward to gathering back with you all from tomorrow, Monday 4th January for the start of the next block of classes π

My favourite substitute for students who donβt have their own yoga bolster or block - use a sleeping bag and tupperware box instead!
Thank you for the suggestion Marit Akintewe & Jane Blundell, works brilliantly π

This is my current cosy practice space at home. I say current because where (as well as when and how) I practice is flexible to change, so that I may continue to weave the supportive tools of yoga into my day amidst life's changes.
One of the hidden gifts of lockdown is it is forcing us to reassess our relationship to our yoga practice, asking us:
Why do I practice yoga and how do I want to commit or re-commit to my practice?

Computer work during lockdown. I calculate it takes me a minimum of 10x longer to actually get anything done with little monkeys like this around 24/7 barging onto my lap and typing away furiously π
