It is that time of year again where we will soon be saying goodbye to 52 of our children as the start a new adventure as they transition to primary 1.

If you are not sure which room your child is in please ask a member of staff. Your individual invitation also has your child’s room name on it .

Friendly Reminder

A free family fun day event is taking place from 1 o’clock to 3 o’clock today the 6th of April at Liddesdale Square Milton for anyone that would like to attend.

Spring Holiday
Our Term Time children will finish tomorrow the 1st April at 2.30 and return on Tuesday the 19th of April.

Spring Festival
We are having a Spring Festival tomorrow the 30th of March and the children will have the opportunity to take part in dancing and outdoor games and have a lot of fun.

Our World Book Day outing to WH Smith on Thursday with our tokens to collect the books for all of our children.

Celebrating World Book Day

An action story map of a popular story The Tiger who came to Tea created by our staff member Kirsty has been provided for home Learning for our 3-5 children. The story has been simplified and arrows support left to right direction of the print.The sequence of the story is what happens first ,next, after that and finally.
Story maps support emergent reading and writing skills and provides support for children with English as an addition language.
Look out for our video post demonstrating Kirsty using this technique with some children.

World book Day/Home Link

Our 3-5 Room’s Children have received a template for their family to support them to create a story at home with a start, middle and an end with space to draw a picture relating to their story.
We look forward to reading your children’s stories.

The nursery will closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week for all of our Term Time Children.

A trip to SeeWoo Chinese supermarket today to make some purchases to celebrate Chinese New Year. The children were happy to show their friends what they bought on their shopping trip when they came back and talk about their experience.
