Lastly, meet the mother of our little society — Sunny Staneva.

Sunny holds a BA in Theatre and Drama and is currently working on her teacher-as-researcher project, with a main focus on drama facilitation. She is deeply passionate about culture, learning, and empowering others through the magic of theatre.

For Sunny, this community of practice has been more than just a group - it has been the inspiration behind her decision to continue her education and explore new ways of teaching and sharing theatre with others.

Her guidance and belief in the power of theatre are part of what keeps this ensemble together.

Will she be performing tonight 🧐?

Meet Kalina Stefanova - another core member of Summer Solstice who has been performing with us since 2022 ✨.

Kali brings a unique mix of energy to the stage and to our group. She’s funny and vibrant, yet often wonderfully shy. There’s a warm, calming presence about her that makes everyone around her feel at ease… and then, in the next moment, she can have the entire room laughing.

Within the company, Kali has also naturally taken on the role of our unofficial HR, and sometimes our personal actors’ therapist. She’s always making sure everyone feels seen, supported, and cared for. That quiet attentiveness is part of what makes our ensemble work.

She is one of the steady presences in the group, and without her the balance simply wouldn’t be the same.

Thank you, Kali, for sticking with us through all the seasons.

Meet Stark - our star boy behind the wheel of this performance 🎭.

Like many of our cast members, Stark brings with him a wide range of skills and experiences. From charming audiences with poetry to staying actively involved in his community back home, where he worked as a journalist, storytelling has always been close to his heart. He has also written, produced, and performed songs, both as a solo artist and as part of a group.

During rehearsals he often stands quietly to the side, observing. But beneath that calm presence is a creativity ready to burst into action at any moment.

Stark is the one helping turn our performance into magic, making sure the lights go out at the right moment and the music keeps playing, guiding the atmosphere that carries the story forward.

Behind the scenes, but at the heart of it all. Thank you, Stark.

Meet Neelotpala “Neelo” Dash - one of the newest members of our *Summer Solstice* cast. Although she joined us later than most, she already feels like a natural part of our community.

Neelo came to us looking to step outside the “prison” of home and found a kind of freedom and sisterhood within the group. Since high school she has loved performing - writing parody plays and taking part in dance dramas.

Her specialty is Bharatanatyam, a traditional Indian dance form she has practiced since she was just four years old. Recently, her interests have also expanded into modern dance, bringing a beautiful mix of classical discipline and contemporary expression.

Summer Solstice also marks Neelo’s return to the stage after quite some time, and we’re so happy that this is where that journey continues 🌿.

Welcome to the family, Neelo. 💛

Meet Nikolina Ho - one of our core members and a powerful creative force within the group.

Niki returned to the stage bringing with her past experiences and the spark of childhood stage exposure, allowing her presence to grow and evolve throughout this journey. She is one of our greatest storytellers and a driving force behind the script of Summer Solstice, shaping the words and narratives that guide the performance.

Her creativity, imagination, and dedication have helped bring this story to life. Niki’s charm and stage presence shine through, and her growth as a performer has been inspiring to witness.

You’ll be able to see her magnetic energy and developing acting skills tonight, Friday 13th ✨.

Meet Aya Liath – our very first core member, who stepped into our creative world in late March 2022.

Aya has always had a sparkle for performance, but her contribution to the group goes far beyond the stage. From research and scriptwriting to co-directing, props making, and supporting sound and lighting, she truly embodies the spirit of a creative chameleon - adapting, learning, and bringing knowledge from across the performance world.

Our group simply would not be what it is today without her dedication, creativity, and passion ❤️‍🔥.

Dearest gentle supporter,

You may be amused to learn that Summer Solstice did not begin in any respectable rehearsal room.

No - it began in diverse multi universes.
With folklore books presented as gifts (as one does).
With dramatic readings of myth.
With far too many ideas and absolutely no intention of choosing between them.

There were debates. There were playlists. There were sleepless nights - not from distress, but from dangerous levels of inspiration.

At first, the piece was many things at once. Different shapes, different stories, different Samodivas entirely. But slowly (and with surprising decorum), the chaos composed itself. Exploration turned into decisions. Decisions turned into a performance.

And now, dear supporter… it is ready.

Tickets are officially on sale 🎫.

We would be most delighted by your attendance 🎭.

Have you ever heard of a Selkie?

Let us introduce you to the women of the sea -
creatures of saltwater and moonlight.

They fall in love.
They bear children.
But the ocean always calls them back.

Because some hearts were never meant to stay on shore.

If you found her sealskin… would you give it back 🌊?
