Knitting and crochet group at Gimingham
I posted last week about the new groups I am offering in Gimingham.
I've decided to tweek the knitting group and it will now be a more structured class. We will still be starting on Monday 20th September but the time will now be 10-1pm.
We will now be doing a block of the month,which will build into a reference portfolio. A nice way to 'store' your samples is to stitch them together as a blanket.
I've also had requests for sock knitting, so this will definitely be on the menu.
There are 12 places available so please contact me as soon as possible to book your place .

Knitting and crochet group at Gimingham
Last week i told you about the new groups I will be starting in Gimingham village hall.
It's now been decided that the knitting group will be a more structured class.
Still starting Monday 20th September, but now will run between 10-1pm.
We will have a block of the month,( I think I suggested this in the last post) we will start with textured knitting, so I will show you, how to, and provide you with a pattern for the chosen pattern. Each sample, can either be added to a portfolio for reference, or put together to make a blanket.. the other request is for knitted socks, so how to knit socks is definitely on the menu!!

Dates for your diary... I'm starting new Patchwork groups and knitting and crochet group at Gimingham village hall.
First patchwork group is Monday 6th September
And the knitting one starts on Monday 20th September.. both will run between 10-4pm

I've always love bargeware, canal art . The stylised flowers and the vibrant colours really appeal to me. Yet I'd never had a go at painting in this style. For my birthday last September, my dear friend gave me a book on the subject which I have enjoyed reading. A few weeks ago, I met the most amazing horse, she's the sweetest girl, but something in her past has caused her a few issues. She is now in the very safe hands of a kind and understanding man, who will give her all the time she needs to work through the fears she has.
So my first try at bargeware is for you, Nancy, a stable plaque for your forever home, where all you will know is love, kindness and understanding.

Did I mention in addition to the patchwork group and workshops opening again on the 21st May, our knitting and crochet group will also be up and running again!
This is a monthly get together, for beginners and experienced knitters/ crocheters. It's a part taught/ part group, so here's what you can expect..
Each month I will share a stitch, or technique with you. You can then apply these to a project of your own or make samples of each and put them together to make a sample blanket.
I have been an avid sock knitter for over 10 years now, and some of you have expressed an interest, so as well as the pattern of the month, I will be showing you a simple sock pattern to get you going. I positively insist on show and tell, so do bring along anything you are working on.
And we all know that to knit or crochet well, we need plenty of tea and cake, we'll that's also part of the deal.. 😊
