Head Of School

At Gilmorton, we’re growing well and flourishing together, nurturing every child to thrive in a caring and inspiring environment. Our Church of England Academy caters for children from 4 to 11 years of age and serves the parishes of Gilmorton, Kimcote Cum Walton, Ashby Magna, Bruntingthorpe, Peatling Parva, Upper Bruntingthorpe and Willoughby Waterleys. We are a caring school, with a team of dedic

ated professionals committed to providing a happy, safe, well disciplined environment where all children can grow in God’s love and make the most of every learning opportunity offered to them. The emphasis is on excellence, excitement and challenge. Children are encouraged to become independent, creative learners who also respect and care for others. We believe our school is a place where every child feels special and we hope that every child leaves us feeling they have something unique and special to offer the world in which they grow up. To find out more, please come and visit us to see and feel for yourself what we have to offer.

🎶🎼Kingfisher class have been getting creative, exploring how different pieces of music made them feel: using colours, shapes and drawings to express their responses through art. It was lovely to see how each child interpreted the music and brought their ideas to life! 🎶🎼

What a fantastic first week in Year 1!

We’ve been busy getting stuck into our maths learning, exploring how we can count objects efficiently by making groups of 10.

The children worked together to organise, count and explain their thinking — fantastic teamwork and mathematical thinking!

What a brilliant start to Year 1!
