Stower Vale Pre-School A rural pre-school setting open five days a week with an After School Club and Holiday Club We pride ourselves on our welcoming, friendly and nurturing setting.

Stower Vale Pre-school is a rural Pre-school in North Dorset, close to Stour Row, Stour Provost, East & West Stour, Todber and surrounding villages – a short drive from the A30. We are a community group with charitable status, owned and run by a parent led committee. The land and buildings were purchased in 2001 with Heritage Lottery Funding. Located within the grounds of Stower Provost Community

School in the heart of the Blackmore Vale the rural pre-school has it’s own secure, beautiful and well designed outdoor area. We want the children in our care to have fun whilst learning and developing through play. All activities are carefully planned to meet the needs of the individual child and are linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our aim at Stower Vale Pre-school is to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children feel happy and confident in their surroundings. We encourage parent/carers to be involved in some way, whether it be on the committee, helping with fund-raising or sharing your talents. The pre-school runs a weekly baby and toddler group in the spacious primary school hall and arranges regular visits to the pre-school for the group to help familiarise the children with the rural pre-school setting. It also offers an after school club and a holiday club. As the pre-school is situated on the same site as the primary school pre-school children can also use the facilities of the school’s breakfast club – providing total wrap-around care

Stower Vale Preschool is looking to recruit a Bank Early Years Practitioner to join our wonderful team on an as and when required basis.

Nestled in the beautiful rural location of Stour Provost, our preschool provides a warm, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can flourish. We are proud to be Ofsted rated Good and, while we share our site with Stower Provost Community School, we operate independently as a registered charity - run by a committee of wonderful parents and members of the local community.

We're looking for someone who is:

✨ Fun, enthusiastic and caring

✨ Passionate about children's learning and development

✨ Creative and full of ideas

✨ A great team player with a fantastic sense of humour

Ideally, you'll hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification, although we would happily consider applications from the right candidate with a Level 2 qualification.

Due to the extremely warm weather that we are set to experience, Stower Vale Toddler Group will not be running this Wednesday.

We will return as normal next Wednesday in the school hall and look forward to seeing all of our toddler group friends then! 😊🧸🎨

🌟 Toddler Group is back this week! 🌟

Join us this Wednesday from 9am–11am in the school hall for our final session before half-term.

And after half-term — with a bit of luck and some sunshine ☀️ — we’ll be making the most of the play trail, forest area and school field for lots of outdoor fun with our little ones!

Please don’t be put off if your child is still very small or would prefer to stay indoors — the hall will still be fully set up and open for younger children and anyone happier inside.

So spread the word and bring your friends! First sessions are completely FREE, and there’ll be:

☕ Tea & coffee
🍰 Cake
🧸 Toys and play for the children
💬 Chat and friendship for parents and carers

New faces are always very welcome, and we’d love to see you there.

Looking for fun, flexible, and child-centred childcare over the summer holidays? 🌈🎨🚲

Stower Vale Summer Club returns for the first two weeks of August, running Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm for children aged 3–11 years 🧒👧🧑

Our summer club is tailored to the individual interests of the children attending, creating a bespoke experience packed with creativity, adventure, and play 🎭🌳🖌️⚽

Every day is designed around the children, helping them enjoy a summer full of fun, friendship, laughter, and new experiences 🌟😊

Last year’s activities included:

🌟 Just a little reminder to all our lovely families and friends of Stower Vale Toddler Group 🌟

There will be no toddler group tomorrow due to our Year 6 pupils sitting their SATs in school.

We know you’ll all join us in wishing them lots of luck! 🍀✏️

We’ll be back next Wednesday from 9–11am in the school hall, ready for more play, chats, tea, coffee, biscuits, and fun! ☕🍪🧸
