💚 Feedback like this means the world to us.
We're incredibly grateful to this family for taking the time to share their experience. Supporting children and families on their journey is at the heart of everything we do and hearing about the positive difference our sessions have made reminds us why we're so passionate about our work.
Thank you for trusting us and allowing us to be part of your journey💚

✨We were recommended to Understanding Me by our daughter's school following her ASD and ADHD diagnosis, and we are so grateful that we found Liz and Kerry.

From the very beginning, they have been incredibly personable, approachable and extremely knowledgeable. They have created a safe, supportive environment where our daughter feels understood and comfortable talking openly about the challenges she faces in everyday life, including school, friendships, food and other situations she finds difficult.

They have given her practical tools and strategies to help her better understand herself and navigate these challenges with greater confidence.

Before starting the sessions, we were really struggling as a family. Since working with Liz and Kerry, we have seen a significant improvement both at home and at school. Our daughter is happier, more confident and better able to manage situations that previously overwhelmed her.

One of the things that stands out most is that our daughter genuinely looks forward to her sessions. She feels listened to, supported and accepted, knowing she is speaking to people who truly understand how she feels. That reassurance has made an enormous difference to her.

Liz and Kerry are always happy to answer any questions we have and have been a fantastic source of support for us as parents as well. Their care extends beyond the sessions, and we have always felt that they genuinely want the very best for our daughter.

We have been so impressed with the support we have received that we will soon be signing our son up for their services too. We have also recommended Understanding Me to several friends, whose children now attend and have also benefited from their support.

We cannot thank Liz and Kerry enough for everything they have done for our family, and we would highly recommend Understanding Me to any family looking for compassionate, knowledgeable and effective support.✨

✨ A little update from us! ✨

We know we've been a little quieter than usual on social media recently, but we promise we're still here... and busier than ever! 💚

We're currently on our Summer Timetable, so our hours are a little different over the holidays. If you've sent us an enquiry, thank you for your patience – we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

We're also excited to announce that our next Understanding ADHD Workshop will be starting in September. The waiting list for this one is already growing, so keep an eye on our page for more details coming soon!

We can't quite believe it but next month marks our second birthday! 🎉 It only feels like yesterday that we were planning our first birthday celebrations.

This year, though, we'll be celebrating a little differently... 👀 We've got something exciting happening behind the scenes that feels like the perfect way to mark two incredible years.

We have been back since Monday after half term and what a warm week it was. All is back to normal for us with sessions and it’s set to be a busy term!
Tomorrow is session 6 of 10 of our latest Understanding Autism workshop, which means we will be planning our next workshop soon.

We have our Transition workshop coming up next month for Year 6 children , we have children that will be attending Rainham Girls, The Howard, Leigh Academy, Chatham Grammar and Ripplevale that have signed up so far.

Our Natter Neurodivergence evening will return this term with the topic of Transition, this time for parents to attend to discuss ways to support their child for September, whether that’s transition to a new school year or a new school.

Leaving the workshop this evening to light evenings and a lovely sunset- definitely beats the cold, rainy, dark evenings we have had recently.

We’re now on half term, so our usual working hours and sessions will look a little different over the next week. We will get back to any emails sent over the week as soon as possible.

We hope you have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
