Another year rolls by in the blink of an eye! It’s been a manic one with a full timetable of students plus the chaos that comes with mum life! Regardless of results, I couldn’t be prouder of my Year 11s this year 💕

(Although I won’t lie- it’s been a nice break to put those anthologies down for a few months over the summer! I’m sure you’re all glad to see the back of them!)

It feels like term has officially started: my daughter is back at school, my son is at preschool, clubs have resumed and (almost) all my term time tutees have returned!

So I thought this would be a good time to bring back word of the week! My first word of term is ‘admonished’. It’s an excellent verb that can be used to replace words like ‘punish’ or ‘warn’, depending on the context.

For example, my mother admonished me for eating sweets before dinner! 🍬🍬🍬

As always, it’s been a busy few weeks! I hope everyone has settled into the new school year, whether it’s starting a new class, key stage or even a new school!

💫 Congratulations to everyone who received their GCSE results over the summer- I’m immensely proud of you and so excited for all your new adventures at college/sixth form! For those of you not staying with me for A Levels, please keep me updated with how things are going!

💫 Good luck to my KS2 students starting secondary school- you’ve all made me laugh every lesson and it’s been a pleasure to see you grow so much over the past few years!

💫 Keep calm and don’t panic! For those of you currently sitting the 11+, Kent Test and Medway Test- I know you can all do it and I can’t wait to celebrate the results with you! You’ve all worked so hard and should be proud of how far you’ve come.

💫 And last, but definitely not least- a huge welcome to all the new students who are joining me this September! 💕
