Thank you to all those came to our first session back today. We said a fond farewell to some of our children who start their journey into big school this week. We are really going to miss them.
We start our termly activities next week ....Sue had no idea what she had planned, turns out next week is all about Transport 🚗🚄 🛩⛵️
We are busy flittering away behind the scenes as weve realised everyone's half terms are 2 weeks and all different 🤦‍♀️ so there maybe an ammendment to the timetable but I shall let you all know 😊
We are planning away for some transport fun for next week 😀

Welcome back everyone 😊 we are busy setting up ready for another year of fun and mess.
See you all from 9am this morning.
Few points to note:
No need to book - simply turn up
Baby weighing available
Free to attend - no booking required
Free tea/coffee for the adults
Free healthy snack for the kids
As its a relaxed session older ones will be allowed in but please remind them that there is to be no running or silliness..... or Sue will make them wash up!!

Its back to school week - we made it through 6 unbelievably hot weeks. For all those starting school this week I wish you the absolute best, we are going to miss you at group.
Reminder our new term starts this wednesday in St Augustines church itself (walk in the main doors and head for the back) between 9-11am. As its first week back well have toys craft etc out plus snacks but we're keeping things light and easy as that first week back is always the hardest with new routines etc
We cant wait to see you all 😊

⚠️⚠️ Tomorrow's Park Picnic ⚠️⚠️
I have been furiosuly checking weather apps the last 24 hours with a small glimmer of hope that they were all wrong. Unfortunately between about 7 different weather apps, they all say the same thing - rain with thunderstorms throughout tomorrow at various points. Regrettably, due to the uncertainty, we are going to cancel tomorrow's park picnic 😭😭
I have a small glimmer of hope - At St Augustines they have sweaty church between 10-11.30 which we are all welcome to attend for those with children aged 3 years and up. On offer will be a selection of planned games, fun activities and an all important light snack!!
🌞 However......... If the weather holds out and the sun decides to shine i will head to the park (although maybe not with a picnic blanket!) after sweaty church with chalks/drawing activities for those who wish to join me/decide we are mad enough to embrace the unique British Weather!! I shall of course post if this happens - if it doesn't them I will look forward to seeing you all the following week on 2nd September when group returns 😊

Before our last park meet up this Wednesday - heres a sneak peak at our fun activities planned for this term. Sue is digging out her pirate costume, and dusting off her craft skills to bring you more fun.
As always we will be joined by Chris our lovely volunteer, but also 2 familiar faces who have (madly) wanted to help out (I think its because we make a great cup of coffee and have the best snacks 😉)
Please join us from 9am on the 2nd for familiar faces, new ones but also a warm and friendly atmosphere, baby weighing, and those all important tea/coffee and snacks!

Its our last park picnic this Wednesday. I cant believe im saying this, but im hoping it doesnt rain!!
If its light rain/showers we shall carry on regardless - however torrential downpours we may have to cancel (Im not sure how many of you own boats! Sue definitely doesn't but i could possibly borrow a canoe! 🚣‍♀️)
Bring your picnics - a teddy bear if you have one for a story before we all head home after a what feels like quite quick summer break.
We hope to see you all there 😀

A massive THANK YOU to each and every helper, volunteer, those who donated gifts for the raffle and all my families that came along today to help make this a huge success.
We have had an absolute blast playing in our free zone, bouncing on the bouncy castle, cuddles with our Guinea Pigs and playing games plus a rather chaotic raffle!! And not forgetting a bit of tea and cake too. Without you all I wouldn't have the group I have today or extended family.
We have raised a whopping £300!
This will go towards keeping our group open for the next year, our teas coffees and snacks to keep us all going, our craft and sensory trays aswell as our parties and other fun along the way.
Sue is going to put her feet up and have some dinner whilst she pretends she hasnt cried happy tears. Thank you everyone 💓
