Elephants conducted an experiment in science today to try and see what would happen to their heart rate when they partook in different types of exercise. As they correctly predicted, their BPM increased when completing a range of exercises so we discussed why different children would get different results for different exercises.

We had a lovely afternoon completing our space artwork! We added our astronaut to our background adding detail to both as needed. We talked about giving the illusion of the astronaut floating through space by trying out different angles, raising them up to give them that 3D quality and even edging part of them off the edge of the background paper. They were then allowed to choose colours to back their own work, asking themselves, what colours work well and show my picture of to its best. Mrs Downs and I think they’ve done a great job. We’ve currently got all finished ones up temporarily displayed so anybody coming in our room can admire them.

Foxes Savage Stone Age Day. 🦣🪨🛖🦊Children made their own jewellery, collaborative cave paintings, shot a deer with arrows, flint knapping, carving, used handheld drills and acted out their own performances. It’s been a full on day of fun and activities.
