So the Little explorers had a fun packed last week before Easter.
Fun at St Peter’s church with our lovely friends, the Easter story, egg hunt and some yummy hot Cross buns! Thank you St Peter’s.
Then park visits and a nature trail today in Batley Park again with our amazing friends to get our final steps in for our sponsored walk.
Just great fun, learning through play and nature.
We’ve had a blast and I’ve honestly enjoyed every minute. 😍😍

So we’re heading towards the end of a very long January! Always a tough month with weather but that never stops us.
We’ve been keeping very busy - farms, parks, forest schools, playgroups and lots of quality time with our lovely friends.
Mine is a very nature based setting, lots of educational trips and out making memories and having fun in the great outdoors.
I pride myself on offering a home from home and the children I care for are part of our little family during the time they spend with us. I’ve always said that kindness is key and I’m very adaptable as a childminder.
If you’re looking for care I have very little space but it doesn’t hurt to ask depending on days required.

So after today - that’s a wrap for 2025!
It’s been amazing being back in childcare and this hands down has been one of the best terms I’ve had.
Hardly had time to breathe since September, barely in the house and have settled in some amazing children (as well as my own daughter) that have become best friends.
If you’re trying to choose between childminder or nursery (and there are pros and cons to both) let me tell you that a good childminder will take your kids on adventures as we are able to get out and about much more.
It’s much more of a ‘home from home’ environment filled with woodland visits, nature trails, farms, museums, gymnastics, train rides, libraries and LOTS of fun.
We pack lots of adventure into every day.
Just this last week we’ve thrown a Christmas party for all the kids, nativity at Church, Forest school, playgym, lots of Christmas crafts and lots of memories made.
I’d like to thank the best Childminder friends you could ever wish to have for welcoming me back with lots of coffees and laughs and for making me realise why this is the best job in the world!
Thanks to my lovely parents and their amazing children and thanks to my wife Jo for never once complaining about the chaos in our house at times!!
Here’s to 2026! 2025 has been one of the best years ever.
Any parents looking for care, I am very busy and there is a list (that I check twice) but it never hurts to ask!

I’ve been so busy since I started back that I haven’t had time to update much, too busy having fun with the Explorers crew and our pals.
So as we’re heading towards Christmas I thought I’d pop a quick post on and show a few photos of all the fun we’ve been having.
I’m just preparing food and presents for our Childminder Christmas party tomorrow so it’s busy, busy, busy! Merry Christmas everyone!! ⛄️🎅😍

Hi all, if you’re reading this post….I’m back!!
Settling really nicely into a new school term with some fabulous children doing so well in addition to a new member of the Quinn family.
I will try and update a little more often but I’m usually just out and doing things.
Autumn is a fantastic time to be a childminder!! 🎃🐿️🍁🍂🌦️
Lots of changes in nature and much to learn and to see and so much to look forward to! Just next week me and my childminder friends have a harvest festival event planned and many more plans to come.
My setting has always been very nature based so our Winter vegetables have been planted now and we are enjoyed the apples from our 3 trees as well as collecting conkers from our huge Horse Chestnut tree in the front garden.
If you’re looking for childcare, I’m pretty full at present but will have spaces next year and it never hurts to ask!

A wonderful, fully equipped home from home setting for days filled with exploring and adventure! No 2 days the same and visits to farms, museums, playgroups and forest schools included.
Home cooked meals with fruit and vegetables grown at home in my custom built and fun garden.

As of the 8th August 2024 I’ll be taking a years break for a major (but very exciting) reason.
If you are reading this and looking for care from September 2025 please PM me as I will be taking early bookings, probably from Easter time. I have a couple reserved already so spaces are definitely limited.

Hiya, me and other childminders plus all of our little ones will be doing the Big Toddle next week again to try and raise money for Barnardo’s! If you’re not aware already, they are a fantastic children’s charity but are fully reliant on money raised through kind supporters.

Well, last day of the year for me and the Little Explorers. It’s been a manic few months so a last photo album covering the 100’s of events and fun packed sessions we’ve had! Seen more Santas than you can even imagine this month 😂 but the kids have enjoyed every minute of it.
Hope you all have an amazing Christmas.
I strive to do the very best for the children in my care. Through rain and shine, despite days when I’m not feeling too good either I just get up and get going!
This is because I genuinely love my job. It’s my passion and I live for it.
Special thanks to my amazing childminder friends who make the job a joy and share my coffee obsession and also to all my wonderful parents (thanks for the pressies!).

Another fab day in Childminder Land!
The best thing about being a minder as opposed to a private nursery (apart from charging half as much!) is that we get to go out somewhere different every day! Each day a new adventure and today was no exception!
Lotherton Hall with the gang to see the animals and have fun and fresh air as well as learn about nature.
I’ve said it before - best job ever, best colleagues 😍
