Why girls’ schools matter - “When one girl rises, we all rise too”
Our latest LinkedIn post explores the benefits of an all girls prep school education, at a time when many schools are making the move to co-education.
At Maltman’s, our heritage of over 100 years of girls’ education, combined with our pioneering spirit, empowers all our pupils to flourish.
Academic excellence is a given – our girls achieve extraordinary things.
But what sits behind that – outstanding pastoral care, an incredible co-curricular offer and our wonderful facilities, really makes the difference.
We celebrate curiosity, kindness and joy, developing confident young women who think boldly, lead courageously, and will shape the future as global citizens.
And yet, despite our certainty of a bright future for our Maltman’s alumnae, we know that inequality remains. Fewer than 10% of FTSE 100 CEOs are women. Globally, women continue to earn less than men. The confidence gap is real - and it starts much earlier than many people realise: education has the power to change this.
Our girls are encouraged to take risks, ask questions, embrace challenge and develop the resilience that will serve them long after they leave us. Confident girls become courageous women, and courageous women change the world.
We are excited to continue building on more than a century of educating remarkable girls - because when one girl rises, we all rise too.
