Reception Magic πŸ¦‹βœ¨

Before half term the children gathered quietly, watching in awe as our butterflies slowly emerged from their chrysalises.

Watching their faces light up was just as special as the butterflies themselves. 😍

πŸ“’ Lost Property Update πŸ“’

Our lost property collection is out of control at the moment!

If your child is missing any items such as jumpers, coats, water bottles or other belongings, please take a moment to check the lost property box in the office / on the yard.

βœ… Top tip: Clearly labelled items are much more likely to find their way back home quickly, so please remember to add your child’s name.

πŸ—“οΈ Important: Any unclaimed items will be placed in the clothing recycle bin at the end of the week.

Thank you for your support in helping us keep our school tidy, organised, and clutter-free 😊

🌿 Year 5 Orienteering 🌿

Our children had a wonderful afternoon exploring Gibside and enjoying the great outdoors! πŸ—ΊοΈπŸŒ³

They had lots of fun searching for orienteering plaques and showed great enthusiasm while developing their map-reading skills.

They were a real credit to our school, demonstrating fantastic behaviour and teamwork throughout the trip πŸ‘πŸ’«

By the journey home, it’s safe to say we had some very tired (but very happy!) children after such an active and exciting afternoon πŸ˜ŠπŸ’š

🌟 A huge well done to our amazing Year 6 children! 🌟

Year 6 have now completed their SATs, and we could not be prouder of the effort, determination, and positive attitude they have shown throughout the week.

Every morning this week, the children arrived early for our SATs breakfast sessions, giving them the chance to start each day calmly, confidently, and ready to do their very best.

They have worked incredibly hard in the lead‑up to the tests and approached each challenge with maturity, resilience, and enthusiasm.

✨ Well done, Year 6 β€” you should all be so proud of yourselves! ✨

🌟 A Fantastic Day at Hall Hill Farm! 🌟

Our reception children had an absolutely wonderful time during their visit to Hall Hill Farm! πŸ„πŸ‘πŸ

We met so many amazing animals, including goats, llamas, alpacas, sheep, horses, peacocks, Highland cowsβ€”and even a very special Turkey called Henry, who gobbled whenever we called his name! πŸ¦ƒ

The children enjoyed some truly hands-on experiences too, taking turns to bottle-feed a lamb, gently holding chicks and guinea pigs, and feeding many of the other animals. πŸ₯πŸ’›

Although the weather was a little drizzly, it certainly didn’t dampen our spiritsβ€”especially during the exciting (and bumpy!) tractor ride! 🚜

It was a day full of fun, learning, and unforgettable memories for everyone involved! 🌈✨
