Family Learning Gateshead

Families from Roman Road Primary School have been taking part in some wonderfully mindful crafts with Family Learning this half term. Families have been spending time together taking part in gentle crafts that help to lower stress, improve concentration and provide a creative outlet for emotions. Fab half term making Story Sacks with Y2 families at St Anne’s Primary. The children selected their own books before decorating and making a range of resources, crafts and activities designed to promote a love for reading at home. ✨📚

Another lovely half term at St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School. Reception families worked together to make a range of Christmas crafts and get into the festive spirit. Family Learning have had a great morning working with families at Lingey House Primary School. We made a great start to our number sacks course by looking at methods the children will use in maths during Key Stage 1. This week we designed our own number sacks bag and number cards. Each week we will make a new maths resource to use at home and add it to our bag.

Family Learning have had a lovely morning working with ‘Unity and the Community’ at Leam Lane Family Hub. This week we have added to our growing collection of home made Christmas decorations making wreaths using paper and adding embellishments. Look at all of our wonderful creations.
