We hope you have had a lovely summer and we are looking forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow.

Over the summer we have started to use a new communication system called Arbor which will be used for letters/breakfast club bookings/wraparound/school trips/school money payments etc. If you are yet to log onto this please check your emails and log in as we will be sending important information through the app.

From 25 June to 1 September 2026, the Government is temporarily cutting VAT from 20% to 5% on:

- Children's meals in restaurants,

- Children and family tickets to cinemas, theatres, concerts and exhibitions,

- Admission to a wide range of attractions.

Combined with:
- Free bus travel during August for children aged 5 to 15 in England.

📚 Read to the Beat! Summer Reading Challenge - free at all Gateshead Libraries!

Dear parents and carers,
Your child (age 4–11) can join the Summer Reading Challenge this summer. It’s fun, free and helps keep up reading skills over the holidays!

· Set a reading goal

· Read whatever they like – books, eBooks, audiobooks

· Earn stickers, rewards and even a certificate
