Access Training Access Training is an award winning training provider, based on Team Valley, Gateshead.

We have been delivering training programmes for businesses and individuals across the North East for 30 years. We have a genuine interest in the success of the companies we work with and the people we train, and we aim to provide a personal, bespoke service. We can offer provision in the following occupational areas:

Business Administration
Accounting (AAT)
Team Leading and Management
Human Resources
Project Management
Fire, Emergency and Security Systems

Our partnership with University of Sunderland allows for:
- broader range of programmes
- greater access to apprenticeships
- other commercial training routes
- alternative pathways to higher education.

26 years of experience, but no qualification to match it.

Suzanne had spent 26 years building her experience at work, but wanted a formal qualification to support what she already knew and help her progress.

After more than 20 years away from education, she decided to return to learning through a Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician apprenticeship.

A brilliant achievement for Harvey!

Thanks to Harvey for coming back to see us as we celebrated the completion of his Fire, Emergency and Security Systems apprenticeship and handed over his certificate.

Harvey is the first Access Training apprentice to complete under the new Version 1.1 standard apprenticeship reform, and he also completed his apprenticeship ahead of schedule.

He’s achieved a lot during his time on programme and is now planning to continue through the scope for the Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Apprenticeship, giving him the opportunity to achieve across both the fire and security pathways.

It was great to celebrate with Harvey and the training team who supported him throughout his apprenticeship.

We raised £62.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

A big thank you to everyone who got involved in our Macmillan Coffee Morning, whether you baked, bought some treats, made a donation or stopped by for a cuppa.

It was great to see our team getting behind the event and helping us raise money for such an important cause.

Our Macmillan Coffee Event is underway!

A big thank you to everyone who has baked or bought something to share. We’ve got a great selection of treats in the kitchen, all helping us raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

If you’re in the building today, why not grab a cuppa, enjoy a treat and make a donation? Every penny raised will help support people living with cancer.

We’ll be carrying on into tomorrow too, so there’s still time to get involved.

Celebrating 10 years with Access!

This week, we’re celebrating a fantastic milestone for Michael, who has reached 10 years with us at Access Training.

Since joining us in 2016, Michael has taken on a number of roles and continued to adapt as the needs of our learners, employers and the wider business have changed.

From supporting learners through employability and wellbeing programmes, to helping us develop our digital delivery and more recently supporting our work with AI and automation, Michael has always been willing to get involved, learn something new and support those around him.

But beyond the roles and projects, it’s the people who really stand out. Michael brings warmth, energy and plenty of humour to Access, and is always ready to lend a hand, share an idea or brighten someone’s day.

Congratulations on 10 fantastic years, Michael — and thank you for everything you’ve contributed to Access over the last decade!
