The World Cup 🌎 ⚽️
Today we had a special assembly where we learnt all about the World Cup and got excited for some football fever.
Each child in the school from year 1 -6 picked a country to follow and will receive a prize at the end of term if their country is in the final.
Ask your child which county they picked!!
We will also be having, towards the end of term, a World Cup day and special lunch so watch this space ⚽️

Mrs Slater astounded us all this afternoon by teaching the Children coding with Scratch- Face Sensing, an interactive AI-powered extension that allows your Scratch projects to track and respond to your facial movements in real-time using your computer's we**am.
Lots of fun was had by all 💙

Postman 📮
As part of our Preparation for Adulthood sessions, this little superstar wrote a lovely letter to his family and visited the postbox to post it.
He also posted a special postcard sent home from Mrs Anglesea to someone we are proud of.
He can’t wait for a visit from the postman in the next few days❤️📮✉️
Keep an eye out incase something arrives for you too.

Year 5 and 6 had a gorgeous afternoon in Forest School 🌳 They played a game of ‘sneak’ before creating their own obstacle courses. I wonder what Mrs O’Hara will have planned for next week!

Year 1 had a lovely afternoon baking chocolate pastry swirls and cheesy pastry twists. They also learned how to use a grater safely and practiced grating cheese, apples, pears and potatoes. We can’t wait to find out what you’re cooking next!

In EYFS, we completed sensory circuits to help improve our concentration, focus and self-regulation skills. We explored three stages: alerting, organising and calming activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed using and exploring the sensory equipment while developing these important skills.
Keep an eye out for our next exciting project, which will be coming to school soon! ✨
