Nearly back to school time ….

Children in Reception to Year 6 are back to school on Wednesday and we can’t wait to see them 💙

Breakfast Club 8am- 8.20 am- arrive through KS1 door.

Everyone else school opens 08.40am teaching and learning starts at 08.45am and gates close 08.50 am. Please be on time so children do not miss the start of the school day.

Reception Hours
Wednesday 08.45-12.30
Thursday 08.45-2.00
Friday 08.45 -3.00

Reception are full time from week 2.

Nursery starts on Friday for current children. All new children have a sheet with their start dates on.

Any questions please call our office on Tuesday afternoon and Mrs Shuker will be only to happy to help.

Did you know pupils in Reception class, year 1 and year 2 who attend a government funded school are entitled to a free school meal through the universal infant free school meal (UIFSM) scheme?

These are just 5 reasons why a school meal is better than a packed lunch:
• A freshly prepared, healthy and nutritional balanced meal provides more (and better) nutrition than a typical packed lunch.
• Children who have a balanced meal at lunchtime concentrate better during afternoon lessons.
• Eating together helps children to develop social and interpersonal skills.
• Our varied menu teaches children about the world’s foods.
• They taste great!

🎙️ Year 6 have gone on air!
During the summer term, our amazing Year 6 pupils took part in an incredible storytelling project to help create a Human Library. Our young broadcasters teamed up with Corrina and Frankie from Gateshead Community Organisation, interviewing the lovely residents of Callendar Court about their lives over the years. From planning questions and rehearsing to the final recording, the children had an absolute blast stepping into the shoes of podcasters
