Yoshino Karate

Yoshino Karate Affiliated to Amateur Shotokan Karate Association (A.S.K.A.) our aim is to allow those of all abilities to gain enjoyment from the traditional style.

Amateur Shotokan Karate Club, based within Springwell Village, Gateshead. The club has been based within Springwell Village since the early 1990s (with JP being one of the early students) and is ran voluntarily by P. Lind (Sandan) and JP. Cooper (Shodan).

Hi all,

As the summer approaches, some dates for the diary, we plan to remain open:
28th July, 4th & 11th Aug.

Closed 18th, 25th Aug.

Return the 1st Sep.

The ask is, if you have holidays booked etc, please let us know, as if we don’t have enough up take, it may not be worth us all attending.

The second is, the number of students has fallen off lately. If you know anyone who maybe interested, please ask them to get in touch etc

That’s it.. we are now done, Holiday Mode Activated!

After a busy start to the summer, hosting additional sessions alongside Sport England and Springwell Village Community Venue we will be taking a 2 week break to recharge the batteries.

Congrats to all our students who have recently graded, you should be proud of all your hard work.

Look forward to seeing everyone upon our return on Tuesday 2ns September.

As a footnote it’s JP’s birthday on the Wednesday… 🥃
