โฝ๐ค๐ค Year 6 Visit St Jamesโ Park! ๐ค๐คโฝ
On Wednesday, Year 6 enjoyed an exciting trip to St Jamesโ Park! After travelling into Newcastle by Metro, the children took part in a fantastic stadium tour, exploring areas usually reserved for players and staff.
They visited the media centre, saw the pitch (or what was left of it! ๐), and were even the first school group to see Newcastle Unitedโs brand-new home kit hanging in the changing rooms! ๐โญ
After the tour, the children enjoyed their packed lunches in the sunshine in Leazes Park before heading home.
It was a brilliant day filled with memorable experiences, and the children were a real credit to the school throughout. ๐๐

๐ผ๐ Year 6 Careers Workshop ๐๐ผ
Earlier this week, Year 6 welcomed Stephen from Gateshead Job Centre, who spoke to the children about the skills and qualities needed to apply for jobs in the future. The children learned about the importance of CVs, interviews and making a positive first impression. ๐๐
They then took part in a fun and engaging game of Job Top Trumps, where each child was assigned a job and had to persuade others why their role should be one of just five selected to remain on a desert island! ๐๏ธ๐ค
The activity encouraged the children to think critically, communicate their ideas clearly and develop their debating and reasoning skills. A big thank you to Stephen for an informative and enjoyable session! ๐

Reception Class celebrated Caedmon Pride Day by talking about what it means to be proud of ourselves and other people.
We thought about why we were proud of ourselves and then told our classmates what makes us proud of them.
It was lovely to hear everyone sharing their ideas and even better to see the smiles on their faces when someone told them they were proud of them.
And of course everyone looked amazing in their colourful clothes.
We are all amazing!

Outdoor play is an important part of our Nursery timetable and this week we've embraced the great outdoors whatever the weather. At the start of the week, the sun was beaming so we opened up our water feature and enjoyed exploring the water as it trickled and streamed down into the tray then, as the rain hit, we donned our wellies and did the ultimate childhood pasttime - splashed in muddy puddles! Look at the pure joy on their faces!

To celebrate the start of the World Cup, our year 6s picked out their teams to support throughout the tournament. They spent the afternoon creating posters of their chosen teams - exploring everything from capital cities and flags to traditional foods and football legends.
Their posters came out brilliant.โฝ๏ธ๐๐

This week Reception have been working on repeating patterns - we started by using colours in some giant posts, then made our own individual patterns with cubes. We also put our oracy skills to use, working in groups to describe each otherโs patterns and explain if there were any mistakes.
We also looked for patterns in the environment.
Great work Reception!

Our very own Mr French worked hard to earn a place in the Northumberland County Rugby team this summer. The team went on to reach the final of the Bill Beaumont County National Championships played at Englands National stadium, Twickenham on Sunday.
It was a hard fought contest with North Midlands, who just held out to win 28-30.
Well done Mr French - what an amazing achievement!

This half term in Art, our topic has been cave paintings. Yesterday, we went to Saltwell Park to collect natural resources that would have been used in prehistoric times. The rain didnโt stop our fun, and we even got chocolate muffins as a treat! After that, we used the materials we had collected to make a nature collage. Beautiful work Year 3!
