🌟 It’s nearly time to welcome everyone back! 🌟

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer and are feeling refreshed and ready for a fantastic new school year! 📚✨

We’re really looking forward to welcoming all of our children back to school and seeing lots of happy faces. We have an exciting year ahead, filled with learning, laughter, new experiences and lots of fun! 💛💙

📅 A little reminder: Tuesday 1st September is a staff training day, so school will be closed to children. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday 2nd September. 🎉

🧸Nursery – Mrs Osborne and Mrs Wishart are excited to see you for your Stay and Play session on Wednesday. You will have received your session time at your induction meeting or when attending Nursery.

🏫 Reception – The Reception Team are looking forward to welcoming you into your new classrooms for your morning settling-in sessions. These sessions will take place daily and children will stay for lunch.

If there is any important information or any changes that we need to be aware of, please speak to your child’s class teacher or a member of our office team.

💙💛Farewell to Year 6💙💛

Today we stand and watch you go,
With hearts so full of pride, you know.
From little learners, shy and small,
You've grown so much—we've seen it all.

We've shared the laughs, the trips, the games,
The challenges, the tests, the names.
The friendships built, the goals you've reached,
The many lessons learned and taught.

You've shown resilience, strength and care,
A willingness to learn and share.
You've helped each other, made us smile,
And brightened every day worthwhile.

Now secondary school awaits,
With open doors and exciting gates.
New subjects, teachers, friends to meet,
New journeys waiting at your feet.

Though it's goodbye, it's not the end,
For every ending starts a bend
Toward something new, a path unknown,
Where confidence and dreams have grown.

So Year 6, as you move along,
Remember where your roots belong.
Be brave, be kind, believe you're able,
Write your story, bold and stable.

We'll miss your laughter in these halls,
Your eager voices, football calls.
But most of all, we'll proudly say:
"You'll always be our Year 6."

💙💛Y6 Leavers: Class of 2026💙💛
We celebrated our time at Dunston Hill last night and compared it to the game of football with all of us being part of a team and playing our part. Y6 have just played the biggest match of their life...

We bid you a fond farewell Y6. You have all worked incredibly hard and should be extremely proud of yourself. We hope you leave Dunston Hill with many fond memories of your time here.

On Tuesday our final group of chocolatiers for this academic year joined Mr. Sutherland in the Dunston Den. Well done to them all. Mr. Sutherland did comment on how well the conversation flowed around the table this week!💛💙

💛Year 6 Leavers Assembly - Wednesday, 15th July 💛

*Children are to come to their classroom FOR 4.45pm.
*They can only enter via the TOP GATE on Market Lane.
*ALL children must be wearing their white school t-shirt.
*Parents and carers are to come to school via the main entrance on Market Lane for a 5pm start.

⚽️Y4/5/6 Sports Day⚽️

We all had a great afternoon last Wednesday competing in a variety of sporting events while the sun shone. Everyone was a winner and we thoroughly enjoyed supporting our parents and carers as they had fun with the egg and spoon.
