We have had an excellent start to Diversity Week today! Thank you to our wonderful Year 5 and 6 children who came to work with the Reception, Year One and Two children. They read us a lovely Buddhist tale, helped us to order the story and then make puppets to retell the story. Thank you for being so kind, helpful and positive. We all had a fantastic afternoon! ๐

A huge THANK YOU to Friends of Oakfield and to the families who donated to our Playground Project. Today, we had an assembly in KS2 to share the new items, that we have so far, with the children. We have also added to the existing play equipment at the Infants ๐งก

Well done to our Year 6 girls who took part in the Gateshead Countdown Cricket Competition today! ๐
All three teams were fantastic and gave their best effort in every game they played. Two of our three teams progressed to the quarter-finals but were unfortunately knocked out at that stage.
Throughout the day, all of the children demonstrated excellent respect, fair play, and determination. We are very proud of how they represented Oakfield ๐โฅ๏ธ๐ค
Thank you Gateshead School Sports Partnership, Durham Cricket and the leaders from Grace College for a fantastic day!
