⭐️ A very warm welcome back to school!⭐️
We hope that our families have had a happy and enjoyable summer break.
We are really looking forward to welcoming the children back and beginning another exciting year together. The start of a new school year is always a special time, full of new opportunities, new experiences and lots to look forward to.
Reminder- it is staff training day on Tuesday and children return on Wednesday 2nd.
A particularly warm welcome goes to all of the children and families joining Oakfield for the first time. The Reception team are looking forward to our stay and play sessions on Wednesday.
We have another busy and exciting year ahead and cannot wait to see the children back in school, ready to learn, grow and enjoy all that the year has to offer. 🌈📚

What a brilliant day for a group of our Year One children at the Key Stage 1 Orienteering Festival 2026 at Gibside!

We loved making mud pies, mini beast hunting, bark rubbing, making woodland art and completing a course to make a home for hedgehog. Amazing! Well done team 🌿🪵🌼🦔

Reception had a fantastic time on our school trip to Tynemouth Aquarium! 🐠🐙🦭

We loved spotting different types of sea creatures, finding out their names and learning fun facts about each animal (the Chocolate Chip Starfish was a key favourite)
