At Cedars High Heworth, we are proud to be supporting our local community by collecting donations for Cedars Food Bank.

We’re asking students and families to bring in non-perishable items where they can. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps make a real difference.

⚽🏆 This afternoon, we hosted the very first Cedars High Heworth 5-a-side football tournament! 🥳

Eight teams took to the pitch and gave it their all in some exciting knockout matches! 💪⚽👏

After some brilliant games, it was Mr Oliver's team who came out on top and took home the trophy! 🏅🎉🏆

A huge well done to everyone who played and helped make the afternoon such a success. We can't wait to do it all again next year! 🙌😊⚽

⚽🏆 World Cup Celebration Day! 🏆⚽

On Thursday 11th June, students and staff are invited to wear an England shirt or red and white clothing to join in the fun and excitement.

Let's come together, show our team spirit and kick off the tournament in style! ❤️🤍

🥾⛺ Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Practice Expedition 🌧️

Our Bronze DofE group completed their practice expedition, walking from Alnmouth, past Warkworth Castle to Walkmill Campsite. Students pitched their tents, cooked tomato, sweetcorn and pasta for dinner! Then enjoyed some free time before bed. 🍅🌽🍝

The next morning, they packed up camp and walked from Walkmill Campsite to Felton. Over the two days, students covered an impressive 16 miles in wet conditions. 🌧️👏

Well done to all students for showing fantastic resilience, teamwork and determination! ⭐💪

Today we celebrated National Fish and Chips Day 2026 and finished with some delicious school cake for dessert!

Learning and Skills Supported Internship Interest Event

🏀🏀🏀 This morning, some of our students had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a Wheelchair Basketball taster session!

Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience! It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and trying something new. 👏🏻

A huge thank you to Dale from Smile Through Sport for delivering such an engaging and inspiring session. We really appreciate your time and expertise and our students had an amazing morning! ☺️
