🦋 Butterfly Awareness Day 🦋

Today is Butterfly Awareness Day. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of releasing our butterflies into our garden. The children have thoroughly enjoyed watching the caterpillars grow, form their cocoons, and then emerge as beautiful butterflies.
It has been a wonderful learning experience, and the children especially enjoyed gently holding the butterflies before setting them free to begin their journey in nature. 🦋🌿

🌼 National Children’s Gardening Week 🌼

To celebrate National Children’s Gardening Week last week, we all enjoyed getting our hands dirty in the soil. Using our shovels and seeds, we played and planted our own flowers as we learned about how flowers grow . 🌻🌸

Celebrating World Bee Day with some buzzing creativity! 🐝💛

We decorated beautiful bees to brighten up our room and had so much fun getting creative together! 🎨✨

💦 Water Play Fun! 💦

Today the children enjoyed lots of water play to help keep cool in the warm weather! From splashing and pouring to outdoor games, everyone had great fun while staying refreshed. 😊

🌡️ Tips to help keep children cool during a heatwave:
• Encourage plenty of water throughout the day 💧
• Dress children in light, loose clothing 👕
• Use hats and sunscreen when outdoors 🧴🧢
• Stay in shaded areas where possible 🌳
• Enjoy cooling activities like water play and paddling pools 💦
• Avoid being outside during the hottest part of the day ☀️

We hope everyone stays safe and keeps cool during the sunny weather

🌸 Our Team in Bloom 🌸

This spring, we’ve been focusing on staff wellbeing with a lovely activity called Our Team in Bloom.

Our team have been adding flowers to our display, sharing:
🌼 moments they feel proud of
🌿 special times that made them smile
🌷 the strengths they bring to our setting

In early years, it’s often the little moments that make the biggest difference, and this has been a wonderful way to reflect, support one another, and celebrate all the amazing work happening every day 💛

We’ve also been spreading a little extra kindness with our Sunshine Shoutouts ☀️—recognising and appreciating each other as a team.

A happy, supported team helps create a warm, nurturing environment for your children to learn and grow 🌱

Our caterpillars have now cocooned and been safely moved into the butterfly net! 🐛➡️🦋

The children have loved watching them grow and change, and we are all very excited for the next stage of their transformation. We can’t wait to see the beautiful butterflies emerge soon! 💛
