Police Week in Panda Room! 🐼💙
Our Pandas have had a fantastic week learning all about the police and the important job they do in our community! 🚔
The children enjoyed creating their own police badges 🪪, exploring the colour blue through a variety of activities 💙🔵, and painting police cars 🚔 while developing their creativity and fine motor skills.
Sensory play was a big hit this week! 🌾 The children loved investigating rice in the tuff tray, using scoops and containers to pour, fill, and empty. These activities help to develop hand-eye coordination, concentration, and language skills.
We also had lots of fun with playdough ✋🧩, squeezing, rolling, stretching, and moulding it into different shapes while strengthening those important little hand muscles.
It has been wonderful to see so much curiosity, imagination, and enthusiasm from our Pandas as they explored our police-themed activities and learned through play. 🌟
Next week, we'll be putting on our hard hats as we learn all about builders and construction workers! 👷🏗️🧱

Our Panda Cubs have had a fantastic week exploring our police-themed activities! 💙
The children enjoyed getting creative through colouring and painting 🎨🖍️, designing their very own police badges 🪪 and decorating police car pictures 🚓. These activities helped to develop their creativity, confidence, and fine motor skills.

To finish off the week, everyone took part in a fingerprint art activity ✋🎨. The children loved using their fingerprints to create unique artwork while exploring different patterns, colours, and textures.

It has been wonderful to see so much imagination, creativity, and enthusiasm throughout the week as the children learned through play and explored our police theme. 🌟😊

This week in the Panda Room 🐼, the children loved exploring our “Firefighters and Fire Engines” theme 🔥🚒

The children enjoyed:
🚒 Painting bright red fire engines
🧯 Putting out fires outdoors with water sprays
🎨 Exploring red sensory play and water activities
🧱 Building and creating their own fire engines

These fun activities supported creativity, teamwork, communication, fine motor skills, and imaginative play 🧑‍🚒✨

This week in Panda Cubs 🐼, the children loved learning all about firefighters and emergency services 🚒🔥

The children enjoyed:
🧡 Exploring coloured water sensory play
🥣 Investigating porridge oats and noodles
🎨 Creating “fire” pictures with paint and shaving foam
🗣️ Copying firefighter sounds like “nee naw, nee naw”

These activities supported sensory exploration, creativity, communication, fine motor skills, and confidence building ✨🧑‍🚒

Pre-School to the rescue! 🚒🔥

This week, the children loved exploring our firefighter theme by:
🚒 Putting out fires in the tuff tray
🎨 Making firefighter hats and fire engines
✏️ Creating observational drawings of fire trucks
🧱 Building fire trucks through junk modelling

We also enjoyed lots of outdoor play in the lovely weather ☀️

Next week, we’ll be exploring our exciting teacher topic 🍎📚

This week the Teddies have been learning all about farms 🚜🐄🌾 We were very lucky to have some animals come in to visit us, and the children absolutely loved meeting them 🐑🐇🐓 A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this special experience possible 💛

The children have been very busy taking part in lots of farm-themed activities. We used shapes to make tractors and paint dabblers to create our own cows 🎨🐄

In the tuff tray, we made a messy farm using cornflour and chocolate powder to create muddy sensory play 🌱🤎 The children loved exploring the textures and using their imaginations while playing with the farm animals.

We also had lots of fun planting and digging up vegetables 🥕🥔 and making muddy prints using wellies and brown paint 👢🎨 The children created farm collages and made sheep pictures using their fingers and paint to add fluffy wool 🐑✨

Our farm shop role play area was a big hit too, with the children using real vegetables to buy and sell to their friends 🥦🍅🛒

Next week we are excited to begin our fireman topic 🚒🔥

This week in Pandas we have been exploring the theme of the farm 🐔🐷🌾

On Wednesday, we had an amazing farm visit at nursery and the children loved meeting and petting the animals 🐑🐐🐇🐹 There were chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep and goats for the children to explore. They especially enjoyed brushing the goats and sheep and feeling their soft, fluffy fur 😊

We have also been very busy with messy crafts throughout the week 🎨 The children created their own pigs using paper plates, googly eyes and pink triangle ears 🐷✨

Another favourite activity was using model farm animals and paint to stamp patterns onto paper. The children practised their fine motor skills, explored colours and made lots of animal noises linked to the animals they had met 🐓🎨

To finish the week, the children enjoyed washing the farm animals during water play 🫧💦 helping to care for the animals after their busy week on the farm 🚜🐑

This week in Panda Cubs we have been exploring all things farm through lots of exciting farm-themed activities and sensory experiences 🚜🌾🐷

One of the highlights of the week was meeting some real farm animals, including a sheep, goats, guinea pigs and chickens 🐑🐐🐹🐓

The children loved seeing the animals up close and enjoyed copying the different animal sounds they could hear 🎶😊

We also explored muddy track art using brown paint and toy tractors to create tyre marks, lines and patterns across the paper 🚜🎨 The children had lots of fun getting creative while developing their fine motor skills.

Another favourite activity was colouring pink pigs by squashing and spreading paint around inside sealed bags 🐷🖐️ The children loved pressing and moving the paint while watching the colours mix and spread, creating a fantastic sensory experience.

It has been a wonderful week full of curiosity, creativity and hands-on learning on the farm 🌾✨

This week in the Panda Cubs room, we explored the theme of vets and pets through lots of sensory and creative activities 🐶🐱

The children enjoyed using green paint to express themselves, developing their creativity and fine motor skills 🎨🖌️ We also made our own vet bags, encouraging imaginative role play and helping the children learn about caring for animals 🩺🐾

One of the highlights of the week was our sensory play activity, where the children helped to “clean” the pets in the bath 🛁🐕 As we played, we practised making animal sounds like “woof” and “meow,” helping the children build connections between animals and the sounds they make 🎶🐈

Overall, it has been a wonderful week full of exploration, creativity, and learning through play 💚

Over the last two weeks, the Teddies have been busy learning all about the people who help us and our pets 🩺🐶🐱

We transformed our sensory tent into a doctor’s surgery and veterinary office so the children could role play real-life experiences. The children were so caring towards all of their patients, with some staff members even needing bandages for “broken” arms and heads 🤕🩹😂

In the water tray, we created a fish bowl sensory activity where the children cared for the fish and explored messy play with jellibaff 🐠💦 The children loved investigating the different textures and sensations.

The children also looked at x-rays and created their own using black card and cotton buds 🖤🦴 We explored shapes and patterns too, using green and yellow paper to create ambulances with repeating patterns 🚑🔺🟨

Next week, we are looking forward to learning all about the farm and welcoming some animals into nursery for the children to meet 🐷🐑🐓
