Terrific Twos Entitlement - have you discovered the big benefits of Early Learning and Childcare?

The really good bit is around a quarter of 2 year olds are entitled to up to 1140 hours of subsidised childcare.

This is free to you, funded by the Scottish Government and local authorities like us. That works out at about 30 hours a week if you use it during school term-time, or around 22 hours a week if you use it all year round. Lyme Disease is still on the rise in Scotland, it’s usually mild but can be serious if not treated.
Remember to check for ticks after playing outside – particularly if you’ve been in the garden, the park or in town or woodlands.

These little critters attach to skin underneath clothing; they are very small and can be hard to spot. Doing a full body check is extremely important.

Physical activity is essential for young children’s growth, development, and wellbeing. Active children are healthier, happier, sleep better, and are better prepared for learning and school.

Encourage children to move often, play actively every day, and avoid long periods of sitting. Regular movement helps children grow strong, develop important skills, and enjoy a healthy start in life.
