π BELONGING β We All Have a Place Here! π
This week in P4/P5, we have been thinking about what belonging really means. π
Belonging is knowing that you are accepted, valued, listened to and cared for. It means being part of something bigger and knowing that there is a place where you can be yourself.
Our classroom is a little community, and every single child brings something special to it. β Whether itβs helping a friend, sharing a laugh, listening to someoneβs ideas, including others in our games or simply being there when someone needs a little encouragement β we all play an important part.
As part of our activities, we turned our photo portraits into colourful cartoons. π¨ We enjoyed seeing our personalities shine through and celebrating what makes each of us unique. We also created a wonderful display to show that every person is an important part of our class community.
We are also developing our independence by registering ourselves for dinner or lunch each day. π½οΈ This is helping us to take responsibility, make choices and become more confident in managing our own routines.
And today's joke of the day!
What goes black, white, black, white, black white?
A penguin rolling down the hill!
In P4/P5, we want everyone to know:
π You are welcome here.
π€ You are part of our team.
π Your differences make us stronger.
β Your voice matters.
π«Ά You belong.
Hereβs to building a classroom where everyone feels included, supported and proud to sayβ¦
βThis is my class. These are my people. I belong here!β ππ
