‼️PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR PLAYGROUND SAFE FOR OUR CHILDREN ‼️

We are asking the local community to please keep dogs out of our school playground and off the grass area.

This is our pupil’s play space, where they have the right to be able to play, run and explore safely. Unfortunately, recently there have been occasions when we have had to stop our pupils from playing on the grass because dog poo has been left behind.

This is upsetting and unfair for our children, and it means they cannot enjoy an important part of their outdoor play.

Please respect our children’s right to play and be safe.

Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states
Every child has the right to relax, play and
take part in a wide range of cultural and
artistic activities

We are fortunate to have the Gala policies right beside our school, which provide a suitable space for dog walking. We kindly ask dog owners to use these areas instead of our children’s playground and grass.

Thank you for helping us keep our play spaces clean, safe and enjoyable for every child.

Our children’s right to play matters.

On Thursday with Mrs Callaghan, P2/3 were learning about God as Creator and explored the wonder and diversity of creation. They listened to and discussed the Genesis creation story, exploring how God created the world over six days and reflected on the importance of caring for all that God has made.

The children enjoyed discussing some of the unusual and fascinating creations found in our world. Their responses demonstrated curiosity, imagination and a growing appreciation of the incredible diversity within God’s creation.

It was wonderful to hear some of their very thoughtful and interesting ideas! 🌎✨
