Ever wished you could learn a brass instrument? Well now is your chance. Ever regretted giving up that instrument at school or as you got older? Now's your chance. Please come along to our open morning on the 3rd of October between 10am and 12noon . Some of our youth players will be taking part in this concert - get along and support them if you can!

The Scottish Borders Youth Brass Band are proud to be part of the Borders Music Festival for 2026.
Playing in the Melrose Parish Church on Sunday 13th September along with the wonderful talented members of the Jedforest Instrumental Band.

We will be showcasing our young Borders brass and percussion players, with special performances from our two youth solo champions Iris Deane and James Grassick.

Doors open at 6.15pm

Tickets are priced at £15

All SBC schools pupils get in for FREE

We were very proud to take part in the first ever Scottish Borders Pride today organised by our very own Fay Sinclair!

Lots of our members had an excellent week at The National Youth Brass Bands of Scotland. Here is a selection of photos from their week!!

At the concerts on Saturday the Musical Directors present awards and we had a few amongst the winners!!

In the children’s band we had Ailsa and Andrew being part of the section that won “Best Team” 💙

In the senior band we had our principal cornet Isla be awarded with her 1st place 🥇 in the solo contest award. Alongside Isla, our soprano player Freya was awarded her 2nd place 🥈 in the solo competition and was also awarded the Philip McCann trophy 🏆 for Best Cornet!!!
