Borders School of Music We are a Music School based in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders offering Instrumental lessons on Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Vocals.

We also offer music services to schools.

It was great to be invited to take part in "When I grow up I want to be......." at Earlston Primary School.

It was great to chat to some very enthusiastic pupils from ELC to P7 with some even getting up to sing accompanied by our piano tutor Matt.

Thank you Burgh Primary School for having us take your assembly this week. Pupils challenged our drum tutor to play some complex rhythms at a fast tempo. We had pupils clapping the pulse as he played complicated rhythms. We look forward to starting the Rockschool Project at your school!

So good to be back at St Peter's Primary School, Galashiels this morning to tell pupils about our Rockschool Project. The project gives pupils the opportunity to learn an instrument and perform as a band together.

Fun, Friendly and relaxed classes for babies and toddlers; newborns are welcome too when you feel ready. It’s never too early to start your little one off on their musical journey. 💫

There is an educational element to classes and each session includes:

Our guitar tutor Aaron speaking with pupils at career fair at .

All of our tutors are full time musicians involved in many different projects from touring with signed artists, tuition, educational clinics and workshops, session recording work and performing gigs in the UK and internationally.

It was great to tell interested pupils about the range of options open to them working as a musician in the music business; it was a real eye opener for some.

Our students not only learn music theory and how to play songs, they also learn all about how to plug their instrument in correctly, setting their levels and the correct procedures during soundcheck. 🎚️🎶
