I am writing to share the news that Mr Robert ‘Bob’ Harrison, who was the Head of Art at Queen Elizabeth’s High School for around 20 years from the mid-80s to 2007, sadly passed away on 24 December 2024. Please see the funeral details below for anyone who may have known him and wish to pay their respect.

A Level Students 2020-2022

If you have not yet collected your A Level certificates from school, please can you arrange to do so at your earliest convenience. I understand that you may be away at university or no longer in the area and therefore unable to collect. However, if you email the Main Office on [email protected] and nominate someone to collect and sign on your behalf, our Receptionist will have these ready to collect.

It is sad to hear that both Mr Alan Sergent and Mr T Moxon died recently.
Mr Sergent featured in the 1965 Ganian, volume 9, as a Cambridge graduate he became the new Geography teacher at the Grammar School, with an interest in the choral group and cricket.
Many memories of Mr Moxon and his chemistry lessons are shared on the QEHS Gainsborough Old Farts Association page. We were only talking of him today in the school office.
Pippa Wilson has also added to their page that her mum, Mrs Wilson (biology and geography teacher) also died before Christmas. Such a sad loss.

Our thoughts are with the families of these 3 great and very memorable teachers.
